Off-Season Development Programme (Open to All)

Central City Baseball Club will be running an Off-Season Development Programme for players aged 13-16 who are looking to take their game to the next level. This development programme will create the opportunity for players to improve both baseball and non-baseball specific skills as well as understanding of the game during the off season. Players who attend the programme will be poised to start their next season ahead of their peers.

Separated into two independent blocks of seven weeks (May-June; July-August), the programme will be filled with work on mobility, strength, and speed for overall athleticism. We will also be working on arm strength, foot speed, bat speed, and mechanics (pitching, hitting, and fielding) for baseball specific skills. Beyond these performance-based elements, there will be attention paid towards injury prevention and arm health, as well as learning and understanding how to better use your body in the game.

Lead instructors for the programme are Dan Tan and Toshiki Nakao.  Coach Dan and Coach Toshiki have vast experience in the baseball world, locally and internationally.  Both coaches have a firm understanding of long-term athlete development and take pride in prioritising fundamentals.  Joining Coach Dan and Coach Toshiki will be a number of other knowledgeable coaches, we are looking forward to introducing the rest of the coaching staff in coming days.

Age Group:
13-16 (Players just outside the age groups will be considered at a case by case basis)

2. Open Workout -  Friday 2^nd May 6-7:30pm. Interested players run through a typical session
